Very thoughtfully designed lecture to introduce the sustainable development, which is otherwise an universally accepted and pursued catch word with an amorphous domain of information technology ! The concepts driven through this lectures opens up surfeit of possibilities ! Having a closer look at the ways by which the societal forces are progressing on various paths adapting both the existing and emerging technologies opens up mind boggling , complex and widely varied technological mix-ups. Best of the brains loose their steam in narrow specialization and developmental work ! At the end of the day they may perhaps achieve their employment targets but never would know cocktail technologies they have brewed or laid the paths for their proliferation ! It takes a professor's, intellectual' s or an ascetic's mind to understand the present day proceedings in these technology fields ! Professor Kiwlekar has done indeed done a gross justice to the subject he has opened up . Taking a short term view of his narrative, if wedded/welded with NEP , with stress on interdisciplinary projects, this concept should generate over 2 dozen credits of a diploma size in BATU or any other similar technological universities !
